Motivations and security objectives for the assassination of Major General Qassem Soleimani

Abstract

The assassination of Major General Qassem Soleimani constituted a phenomenon that bears many dimensions and motives that the United States of America aimed to reach as a result of this assassination of a personality who has a path of history rejecting occupation policies and resistance work, and these dimensions that the United States of America wanted appear in the political aspect by targeting one of the most important pillars of the regime  The political aspect in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of resistance, while the security and military aspects are represented in many points that affect the morale of these two entities in the first place and create a state of rift in the institutional and military work of the Iranian army in general and the Revolutionary Guard in particular
