Abstract

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is the patient breathing 100% pure oxygen in a pressure chamber and under pressure higher than normal atmospheric pressure, up to 3ATA and It has become used as a primary treatment for many conditions such as diving diseases, sudden sensorineural hearing loss, CO poisoning, gas gangrene, ..etc.

It is also used as an adjuvant treatment for many medical conditions such as: brain injuries (cerebral infarction, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral hypoxia in children), fibromyalgia, after radiotherapy for cancer patients, autism in children, some cases of muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is considered a revolution in the world of auxiliary medicine because of its great benefit in helping patients recover and boosting immunity and the body's defense ability. It is also considered a supportive alternative to the medical operations that take place in Syrian government hospitals, which contribute to dispensing with treatment abroad for many cases that can be treated with the hands of Syrian national expertise par excellence.
