Abstract
The goal of the current research is to determine the role of Damascus University in developing the values of digital citizenship from the perspective of students in the College of Education. The descriptive analytical method was followed.
A questionnaire was designed consisting of three axes that included the areas of (digital protection - digital respect - digital education). A sample of (480) male and female students was drawn in a simple random manner from the students of the College of Education.
The current research concluded that the role of Damascus University in developing the values of digital citizenship from the point of view of students in the College of Education was moderate. The axis of the degree of the university’s contribution to developing learning of digital values came in first place, to a moderate degree. In second place was the axis of the degree of Damascus University’s contribution to developing digital respect to a moderate degree. The third place was the degree of the university’s contribution to developing the values of digital protection to a moderate degree.
